Either a distance (relative to the Earth) or a time (experienced on the ship) may be specified. If the time
is specified, the ship is allowed to accelerate at the indicated acceleration for the time indicated. If a
distance is specified the ship is allowed to accelerate until the distance is covered.

Earth time is the time relative to the Earth. That is, the amount of time a person on the Earth would say had passed.

Ship time is the time relative to the Ship. That is, the amount of time a person on the ship would say had
passed. This is the time according to the ship.

Interval time is the time actually experienced by a resident of the ship.

Earth distance is the distance a person on the Earth would say the ship had travelled.
